I cannot believe that in a couple of days it is going to be March. I genuinely feel as though Christmas has just passed within the blink of an eyelid. So the transition is about to start. After getting used to almost eating my body weight in food with the reassurance of always being covered by a baggy jumper – I’m now afraid that times have to change.
I’m sure almost every girl is thinking the same thing – this is the year for the bikini body we’ve all been waiting for! I’m hoping to help with a few tips and inspo.

Above is what I’ve been torturing myself with… Now for some tips!
Areas of concern…
Thighs, stomach bothering you? One beauty tip I swear by is a body brush. The skin is the largest organ in our body and deserves looking after! By using a body brush in repeated movements you will encourage the stimulation of cells which will improve circulation and stimulate lymphatic drainage (allowing the waste products in the body to become eliminated and excreted). Body brushes also have an exfoliating effect and therefore aids the removal of dead skin cells. A definite must-do before holiday in order to ensure maximum tanning!

Not all fats are bad…Fats are a necessity which are recommended on a daily basis. The fats we need to be aware of are saturated fats – the fats we need to welcome in to our lives are mono unsaturated fats. Mono-unsaturated fats include olives, avocados, nuts for example they have great physiological and psychological benefits such as creating a sense of well-being (MOTIVATION FOR GYM), reducing the risk of heart disease, strokes and cancer plus have great benefits on the skin!
Don’t starve yourself…Let’s face it, no-one likes skin and bone. If you’re planning on going to the gym it is important to have substantial meals to provide yourself with energy. Fun fact your body continues to burn calories post workout. Believe it or not you burn more calories after doing weights and toning exercises than you do cardio.
If anyone local to me wishes to meet and arrange meal & exercise plans I’d be more than happy to do this… Sometimes the best motivation is highlighting your concerns and setting an action plan!
Before and after…Everyone loves a before and after picture, you don’t have to prove yourself to anyone but yourself! Weigh yourself, track your waist and thigh measurements and compare them throughout the course of losing weight. This can be incredibly rewarding as you can honestly see the difference and have physical evidence!
Don’t be hard on yourself, enjoy it!Everyone has bad days… if you’re craving a night out with the girls don’t make yourself feel bad about it! Everyone needs days off… or weekends off! Just don’t forget you’re only doing it for yourself.
I wish you all the best of luck in your journey to a Summer bod. You’re not alone! I’m working on it too.
Lots of love,
L x
